Who makes the workbooks
The author of the CHESS MONKEYS workbooks is International Master and FIDE Senior Trainer Roman Vidonyak, head chess coach of FC Bayern.
His many years in school chess and work with young talents now sit alongside coaching top players and professionals at world-class level.
Experience from work with grandmasters informs the selection, order and teaching design of the exercises.
Team
Kathrin Vidonyak grew up in the world of chess as the older daughter of parents who love the game. After her first experience as a junior player she chose social work and has worked in the field since 2018.
As a social pedagogue (B.A.) she supports the family business in the back office and helped build CHESS MONKEYS.
Lea Vidonyak also grew up in the world of chess and gained her first experience as a junior player early on. During her studies she spent years organising and looking after chess training camps for children and young people.
She is training as a psychotherapist for children and adolescents. Alongside that work she supports CHESS MONKEYS on the organisational side.
